Ryan Wang 王帅文

Piano Prodigy 钢琴神童

Ryan was only five years old when he performed his first solo recital. Since then, he has continued his successful performance and competition appearances. He has studied with Professor Lee Kum Sing since 2014 and is now studying with Mr Gareth Owen. Among his awards are the First Prize and Judges Distinction in the American Protégé Piano and Strings competition and the AADGT Passion of Music Competition as well as the Grand Prize winner of the Edith Lando Gifted Youth Competition in 2019. He was a prize-winner in the Canadian Music Competition in 2014, and was the recipient of the bronze medal in the 2019 Seattle International Piano Competition. In the summers of 2015-2019, Ryan participated in the Casalmaggiore International Music Festival in Italy where he gave solo recitals and performed chamber music as well as concertos with the Festival Strings. He was the recipient of the Gabora Prize in 2017 and the Audience Favorite Award of Best Musician in 2019. In 2017 and 2019, Ryan was also the recipient of the Emerging Artist Grant from the Vancouver Academy of Music.

Ryan has won top honours and scholarships in numerous international piano competitions and has recorded for numerous radio stations as well as performed at many prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall (New York), on the Ellen deGeneres Show, Fazioli Concert Hall, RTHK, CCTV 4 (China), CBC and FM96.3 at Zoomer Hall (Toronto) just to name a few. He was invited to perform as part of the cultural component of Canada’s participation in the APEC Summit in Beijing, 2014, and he was also invited to perform a private recital in the Canadian Prime Minister’s home. He has performed solo recitals in Italy, China (Shanghai, Beijing, Wuhan, Guangzhou, Xiamen, Shenzhen, Hainan, Quanzhou, Fuzhou, Xi’an, Tianjing, Kunshan, Hunan), Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Canada, USA, and UK. He has performed with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra, Singapore Chinese Orchestra, Toronto Festival Orchestra, Xiamen Philharmonic Orchestra, Vancouver Metropolitan Orchestra, and the West Coast Symphony Orchestra. 

 

Ryan is currently studying on a music scholarship at Eton College in the UK. He partakes regularly in performances in venues such as senior homes around his local community. In addition to playing the piano, Ryan has many other diverse interests that include sports and reading.

 

Ryan Wang(王帅文),十二岁,来自加拿大卑斯省西温哥华市,现住英国温莎,八年级在读。四岁半开始学习钢琴。2014年至今,在温哥华音乐学院,师从世界著名的钢琴家教育家李金星教授。2017、2019年,王帅文两次获得温哥华音乐学院的新兴艺术家奖学金,是该奖项的最小年龄获奖者。

2012年,王帅文在加拿大西温哥华凯米剧院举办了专题音乐会。同年,受邀在中国苏州举办个人钢琴音乐会,并且将所有门票收入捐赠给中国江苏昆山福利院,用于购买音乐乐器及书籍。此外,他还应邀在美国艾伦秀、加拿大广播电视台、湖南天天向上及李云迪2013-2014新年北京钢琴演奏会上进行了演出。2014年,王帅文在美国青少年音乐家比赛及全美天才儿童钢琴比赛提琴比赛中都获得了一等奖,并于同年3月在纽约卡内基音乐厅进行了演出。他还受邀在加拿大总督府以及总理家中钢琴演奏。同年11月,王帅文受邀与加拿大哈勃总理夫妇同行前往中国参加全球亚太经济合作组织(APEC)会议的演出。2015年10月,王帅文受邀在日本大阪和中国西安、天津举办个人独奏音乐会,并与南开大学交响乐团合作,为中国伟大的诗人叶嘉莹先生庆祝嘉陵学舍成立。2016年3月,王帅文受邀在中国香港、深圳、厦门、上海和北京,举办个人独奏音乐会。2015-2018年参加意大利卡萨马焦瑞音乐节,并与音乐交响乐团合作演出,受到当地观众的热烈欢迎,2017年获得此音乐节的最高奖学金,成为音乐节有史以来最小的获奖者。2017年3月,在香港、广州、厦门成功举办钢琴独奏音乐会,并且与厦门乐团合作演出贝多芬第一协奏曲。2017年6月受邀参加新加坡高中100周年庆典,与新加坡交响乐团合作演奏贝多芬第一协奏曲。2018年1月,接受加拿大多伦多FM96.3广播电台的采访及录音,并与多伦多乐队合作,在中西荟萃音乐会中演出贝多芬第二协奏曲,以及成功举办个人专场独奏音乐会。2018年3月,受温哥华大都会交响乐团邀请,在温哥华大都会春季音乐会上与乐队合作贝多芬第二协奏曲。同月,受邀在厦门举办个人独奏音乐会,与厦门乐团合作演出。2018年8月,受中央电视台中文国际频道CCTV-4的邀请,作为全球60位杰出华人中年龄最小的邀请嘉宾,参加《世界听我说》第三季的节目录制。2019年3月,受邀在香港电台音乐频道录音,并且在福州、泉州举办慈善个人独奏音乐会。2019年7月,在意大利卡萨马焦瑞音乐节获得最受观众欢迎奖。

王帅文积极参与各种公益活动及慈善演出来支持莎拉克劳克兰音乐学校,卑斯省儿童医院、列治文医院以及中国希望小学等。此外,还定期在温哥华周围的敬老院进行慈善演出。同时,王帅文也热爱游泳、滑雪,并喜欢阅读及旅行。
